Tom has been a champion on women's issues. He has fought to keep abortion legal and to protect women's rights. He voted and advocated for giving women equal pay for equal work. He convened Congressional hearings urging the elimination the Republican rule that forbids international aid organizations that get US money from even mentioning abortion. Planned Parenthood and NARAL have consistently given him a 100% percent rating.
