Improving regional transportation a key element of Tom Lantos' congressional agenda - funding for Bay Area roads, bridges and highways, as well as assuring that public transportation is available and convenient. In particular he has been instrumental in securing federal funding for BART, SamTrans, and public transportation in San Francisco.
