Quality of life is fundamental to those of us who live in the Bay Area, and preserving and enhancing it must be one of our top priorities. Tom Lantos has sought to assure that federal programs contribute to improving our communities. The high cost of housing is one issue that has been a particular concern, and another is assuring that funds are available to contribute to community preparedness.
